Adonai is a small studio making a short line of considered pieces.
We started from a simple frustration: most clothing is loud in ways nobody asked for. Logos across the chest. Seasonal prints that date within a year. Cuts that look considered on a model and shapeless on everyone else. We wanted the opposite — pieces that hold their shape, sit correctly on the body, and don't announce themselves.
What we make
Dresses, hoodies, sweatshirts, tanks, and layers. Unbranded, and designed to work with one another, so a small wardrobe goes further than a large one.
We specify weight and fabric before anything else. A hoodie that collapses at the shoulder after three washes isn't worth making. Where we can use full cotton, we do. Where a blend holds a shape better, we say so on the product page — along with the real garment measurements, taken flat, so you can compare against something you already own instead of guessing at a generic size chart.
The name
Adonai means "Lord" — a name spoken with intention rather than casually. It's the standard we set for the work: make things carefully, or don't make them.
